Then in July, we brought the youth group to summer camp in Black Mountain, NC. It was soooo pretty and camp was awesome! We really saw God move through the lives of our youth and that was truly amazing. I had an awesome time with that group of teenagers~

Throughout the summer we have also ALMOST completed our homestudy for the foster to adopt program. We are at the very end of finalizing our certification, so that is great! We thought that it would happen alot quicker than it did, but we know that God's timing is perfect. We also discovered a little boy that was freed for adoption in May, whom we really had taken an interest in. He is already in Louisiana, almost 2 years old, and has Down Syndrome. Really a precious little man! But it was not God's will for our family because our homestudy was not complete and they matched him with a family. Through all of that, we realized God was just opening our hearts to consider a child that may have a special need like Down Syndrome. So we are continually praying for our child.
Another big God thing that happened is that Michael has accepted a senior pastor position at a church in Many, La. He has felt for a while now that God was leading him to pastor, so we prayed about it for months, and here we are! It seems like it is all going very fast, but like I said, God's timing is perfect. Sometimes He seems to move slowly to us... and sometimes very quickly. But it is usually not at all what we expect. IT is perfect though, because He knew all along that we would be moving, and that it would not be good for us to get a foster child, and then have to send him back because we had to move. Another example of God's provision is that we are getting the blessings of a 4 bedroom parsonage. God knew we needed the extra room for another child... and He provided! What an awesome GOD! I can go on and on about everything God is doing in our lives right now, and I just give Him the praise!
So a few months from now, when we are settled in our new home, and homestudy is complete... I will be introducing you to our new foster child! I can hardly wait!
